{"id":2535,"date":"2016-02-10T10:53:57","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T17:53:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=2535"},"modified":"2016-02-10T10:53:57","modified_gmt":"2016-02-10T17:53:57","slug":"golden-potato-loaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/golden-potato-loaf.html","title":{"rendered":"Golden Potato Loaf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Delicious and different, you slice this to serve.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 medium potatoes<\/li>\n<li>2 medium onions<\/li>\n<li>10 soda crackers<\/li>\n<li>3 Tab milk or thin sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1 c cheddar cheese, grated<\/li>\n<li>4 eggs, separated<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven 350\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Peel and grate potatoes and onions.<\/li>\n<li>Crumble cracker and soak in milk a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add to the potatoes and onions along wth cheese.<\/li>\n<li>Beat egg yolks lightly.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Stir into potato mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Add salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.<\/li>\n<li>Fold into potato mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Soon into a well greased 9&#215;5 glass loaf pan or 2 quart dish.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves: \u00a0<\/strong>8<\/p>\n<p><b>Source: \u00a0<\/b>Some magazine long ago.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Delicious and different, you slice this to serve.
