{"id":2568,"date":"2015-08-26T16:43:14","date_gmt":"2015-08-26T22:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=2568"},"modified":"2015-08-26T16:57:14","modified_gmt":"2015-08-26T22:57:14","slug":"lucias-brownies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/lucias-brownies.html","title":{"rendered":"Lucia&#8217;s Brownies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Not your average brownie! \u00a0No one will ask if these came from a box.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients &#8211; first layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 squares unsweetened chocolate (2 oz)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c butter<\/li>\n<li>1 c sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs, well beaten<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c nuts, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ingredients &#8211; middle layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 c butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1 c powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ingredients &#8211; top layer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 squares semisweet chocolate (4 oz)<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbs butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions &#8211; bottom layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven 350\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Melt chocolate and butter in double boiler.<\/li>\n<li>Pour over sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Mix<\/li>\n<li>Add other ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>Mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Pour into grease 9&#215;13 pan.<\/li>\n<li>Bake a brief 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Cool.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Directions &#8211; middle layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cook butter, sour cream, powdered sugar over low heat to soft ball stage. (235\u00b0 &#8211; 240\u00b0)<\/li>\n<li>Add vanilla.<\/li>\n<li>Pour over cooled brownies.<\/li>\n<li>Put in refrigerator until firm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Directions &#8211; top layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Melt butter and chocolate over hot water.<\/li>\n<li>Pour over white topping.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate until served.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Serves<\/b><strong>: \u00a0<\/strong>3 dozen small brownies (They are really rich!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: \u00a0Lucia Henderson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not your average brownie! \u00a0No one will ask if these came from a box.
