{"id":3148,"date":"2016-06-01T03:43:08","date_gmt":"2016-06-01T09:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=3148"},"modified":"2016-06-01T03:43:08","modified_gmt":"2016-06-01T09:43:08","slug":"fire-station-casserole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/fire-station-casserole.html","title":{"rendered":"Fire Station Casserole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Firemen cook their own meals in the firehouse and have developed some good casseroles that keep and reheat. \u00a0Fires don&#8217;t wait until dinner is over!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 1\/2 lb ground beef<\/li>\n<li>1 small onion, diced (or dried equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>1 Tab\u00a0oil<\/li>\n<li>2 cans mushroom soup<\/li>\n<li>1 can milk (use the soup can)<\/li>\n<li>4 oz diced green chillies<\/li>\n<li>2 dozen corn tortillas<\/li>\n<li>1 lb cheddar cheese, grated (4 cups) or 1\/2 cheddar, 1\/2 jack<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Brown beef and onions in oil, stirring to crumble meat.<\/li>\n<li>Mix soup, milk and chiles.<\/li>\n<li>Cut tortillas into 1 inch squares.<\/li>\n<li>Place half the tortillas in 9 x 13 pan.<\/li>\n<li>Top with half the meat, half the soup mix and half the cheese.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 20 &#8211; 30 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves: \u00a0<\/strong>6 hungry firemen<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: \u00a0<\/strong>L A Times &#8211; a long time ago.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Firemen cook their own meals in the firehouse and have developed some good casseroles that keep and reheat. \u00a0Fires don&#8217;t wait until dinner is over!
