{"id":3354,"date":"2016-10-12T16:06:39","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T22:06:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=3354"},"modified":"2016-12-15T15:04:45","modified_gmt":"2016-12-15T22:04:45","slug":"sesame-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/sesame-cookies.html","title":{"rendered":"Sesame Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Different, but tasty. \u00a0An NO eggs!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 lb butter, softened<\/li>\n<li>1 1.2 c sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 c flour<\/li>\n<li>1 c sesame seeds<\/li>\n<li>2 c shredded coconut<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c almonds, finely chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cream butter in a large mixer bow.<\/li>\n<li>Gradually add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour and mix just until combined.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in sesame seeds, coconuts and almonds just until well mixed.<\/li>\n<li>Place 1\/3 on a long sheet of wax paper.<\/li>\n<li>Shape into a long roll 1 1\/2 inches in diameter. \u00a0(I used the cookie press\u00a0tube.)<\/li>\n<li>Repeat with he remaining dough.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap and refrigerate until firm.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven 300\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Cut rolls into 1\/4 inch slices.<\/li>\n<li>Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove to wire rack to cool.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:\u00a0<\/strong>Makes 7 dozen<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0<\/strong>Ladies&#8217; Home Journal, Dec 1985<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Different, but tasty. \u00a0An NO eggs!
