{"id":3641,"date":"2017-04-04T16:12:04","date_gmt":"2017-04-04T22:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=3641"},"modified":"2017-04-04T16:12:04","modified_gmt":"2017-04-04T22:12:04","slug":"strawberry-pie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/strawberry-pie.html","title":{"rendered":"Strawberry Pie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>It is not spring without strawberry pie!<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"leftColumn\">\n<div class=\"recipeIngredients\">\n<div id=\"gmi_rp_recipeIngredients_div\" class=\"recipePartIngredients\">\n<h4 id=\"gmi_rp_recipeIngredients_header\">Ingredients:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 \u00a0refrigerated pie crust<\/li>\n<li>1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 c sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 to 1\/2 tsp almond extract<\/li>\n<li>1 box strawberry pie glaze-filling (Salada Danish Dessert brand \u00a0for our family)<\/li>\n<li>2 pints (4 cups) strawberries<\/li>\n<li>1 pt whipping cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"recipePartIngredientGroup\">\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat oven to 450\u00b0F.<\/li>\n<li>Bake pie crust as directed.<\/li>\n<li>Cool completely.<\/li>\n<li>In large bowl with electric mixer, beat cream cheese on medium speed until fluffy.<\/li>\n<li>Gradually beat in sugar and almond extract until well blended.<\/li>\n<li>Spoon into cooled baked shell.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange strawberries, pointed side up, over cream cheese mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare glaze according to box directions.<\/li>\n<li>Spoon over strawberries.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until set.<\/li>\n<li>Whip cream with a little sugar and almond extract.<\/li>\n<li>Top pie with whipped cream.<\/li>\n<li>Store in refrigerator.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves: \u00a0<\/strong>6<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: \u00a0<\/strong> GK<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Occasionally I mix the whipped cream with the cream cheese and drizzle chocolate on the top.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mainColumn\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is not spring without strawberry pie!
