{"id":3664,"date":"2017-05-21T15:54:21","date_gmt":"2017-05-21T21:54:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=3664"},"modified":"2017-05-21T15:54:21","modified_gmt":"2017-05-21T21:54:21","slug":"puff-pastry-braid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/puff-pastry-braid.html","title":{"rendered":"Puff Pastry Braid"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"recipe-content-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"recipe-ingredients\">\n<p><em>A constant\u00a0favorite at our KOA campouts. \u00a0We bake it in a cardboard box oven, \u00a0great fun! \u00a0We actually use the restaurant supply size puff pastry, but that is a lot for a family.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"ingredient-type\">1 17.3-ounce package Puff Pastry Sheets, thawed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ingredient-type\">1 can \u00a0cherry, blueberry, peach, almond pie filling<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"recipe-directions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Heat the oven to 400\u00b0F.<\/li>\n<li>Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li class=\"direction\">Unfold the pastry sheet on the baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li class=\"direction\">\u00a0Spoon\u00a0pie filling lengthwise down the center of the pastry.<\/li>\n<li class=\"direction\">Cut slits 1 inch apart from the 2 sides of the pastry rectangle to within 1\/2 inch of the filling.<\/li>\n<li class=\"direction\">Starting at one end, fold the pastry strips over the peach mixture, alternating sides, to cover the filling.<\/li>\n<li class=\"direction\">Bake for 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.\u00a0 Let the pastry cool on the baking sheet on a wire rack for 20 minutes.(They never wait and they burn their tongues.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Serves<\/b><strong>: \u00a0<\/strong>6<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: \u00a0<\/strong>A variation on a Pepperidge Farm recipe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A constant\u00a0favorite at our KOA campouts. \u00a0We bake it in a cardboard box oven, \u00a0great fun! \u00a0We actually use the restaurant supply size puff pastry, but that is a lot for a family.
