{"id":404,"date":"2013-08-15T13:44:46","date_gmt":"2013-08-15T20:44:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=404"},"modified":"2016-01-26T10:44:27","modified_gmt":"2016-01-26T17:44:27","slug":"sour-cream-apple-pie-sans-crust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/sour-cream-apple-pie-sans-crust.html","title":{"rendered":"Sour Cream Apple Pie (sans crust)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>I am not fond of pie crust so I just put this into a casserole and baked it.\u00a0 YUM!<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Filling:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\u00bc cup sour cream<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 Tablespoons flour<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc\u00a0teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>6 cups peeled, sliced tart apples (about 1 1\/4 pounds of slices)<\/li>\n<li>1 9&#8243; unbaked pie shell, frozen or chilled in the freezer for at least 30 minutes or a 2 quart baking dish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Topping:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bd\u00a0cup brown sugar, packed<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup flour<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc\u00a0cup butter, room temperature<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd\u00a0teaspoon cinnamon (or more, more is always better)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-details instructions\">\n<h3>Instructions<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>1.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong> Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>2<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong> Beat together sour cream, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla and egg (can beat by hand).<br \/>\n3. Add apples, mixing carefully to coat well.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>4. Put filling into a pie shell and bake at 400 degrees initially for 15 min. (or in a 2 quart baking dish)<br \/>\n5. Reduce oven to 350\u00b0 and continue baking for 30 more minutes.<br \/>\n6. While the pie is baking, prepare the topping by stiring together flour, sugar, cinnamon.<br \/>\n7. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs.<br \/>\n8. After 30 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with Topping.<br \/>\n9.
