You can also use spicy sausage.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 loaves (1 pound each) frozen white bread dough, thawed in refrigerator overnight<\/li>\n<li>1 lb mild Italian sausage<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs\u00a0 &#8211; divided use<\/li>\n<li>2-1\/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp Italian seasoning<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp garlic salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cover dough and let rise in a warm place until doubled. May take a couple of hours.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>In a large skillet, cook sausage, over medium-high heat 6-8 minutes or until sausage is no longer pink, breaking up sausage into crumbles.<\/li>\n<li>Drain on paper towels.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer to a bowl; cool.<\/li>\n<li>Break eggs into small bowl and mix.<\/li>\n<li>Stir 1 1\/2 egg, cheese and seasoning into sausage.<\/li>\n<li>Roll each loaf of dough into a 16 x 12-in. rectangle.<\/li>\n<li>Spread half of the sausage mixture over each rectangle to within 1 in. of edges.<\/li>\n<li>Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side.<\/li>\n<li>Pinch seams to seal.<\/li>\n<li>Place on a greased baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Brush remainin egg over tops.<\/li>\n<li>Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Serve warm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Freeze option<\/strong>: Securely wrap and freeze cooled loaves in foil and place in resealable plastic freezer bags. To use, place foil-wrapped loaf on a baking sheet and reheat in a 450\u00b0 oven 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
