{"id":4273,"date":"2018-05-06T15:57:45","date_gmt":"2018-05-06T21:57:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=4273"},"modified":"2018-05-08T12:02:37","modified_gmt":"2018-05-08T18:02:37","slug":"almost-eggs-benedict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/almost-eggs-benedict.html","title":{"rendered":"Almost Eggs Benedict"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\">\n<div class=\"block top\">\n<div class=\"section clrfix time\">\u00a0<em>This works nicely\u00a0on a buffet.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t want English muffin\u00a0&#8211; OK.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t want Canadian bacon &#8211; no problem.\u00a0 Everyone gets as much, or little, as they want.<\/em><\/div>\n<div class=\"section clrfix ingredients\">\n<h4 class=\"section=title\">Ingredients:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>3\/4 cup butter<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup flour, all purpose<\/li>\n<li>4 cups milk<\/li>\n<li>1 c chicken broth<\/li>\n<li>24 slices Canadian Bacon, browned to heat<\/li>\n<li>4 ounces shredded Jarlsberg cheese<\/li>\n<li>12 hard-boiled eggs, cut into quarters, or sliced<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>1 Tab lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>12 English muffins, cut in half and toasted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section clrfix directions\">\n<h4>Directions:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Melt butter in saucepan, stir in flour until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add milk and chicken broth stirring constantly.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes while stirring continuously.<\/li>\n<li>Add cheese, stir until cheese melts.<\/li>\n<li>Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Stir gently and heat through.
