{"id":4323,"date":"2018-04-17T11:33:27","date_gmt":"2018-04-17T17:33:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=4323"},"modified":"2018-04-17T11:33:27","modified_gmt":"2018-04-17T17:33:27","slug":"danish-pastry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/danish-pastry.html","title":{"rendered":"Danish Pastry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>When we go camping, we like to eat well &#8211; but we don&#8217;t want to work very hard or have a big mess to clean up.\u00a0 We LOVE puff pastry!\u00a0 This is another good thing to do with it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Inredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>puff pastry<\/li>\n<li>pie filling &#8211; almond paste cherry, blueberry, apple (or, if you can get it, squeeze tubes of fruit fillings)<\/li>\n<li>parchment paper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol id=\"zlrecipe-instructions-list\" class=\"instructions\">\n<li id=\"zlrecipe-instruction-0\" class=\"instruction\">Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li id=\"zlrecipe-instruction-2\" class=\"instruction\">On floured surface, roll puff pastry into an approximate 18-inch square.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cut into 9 squares.<\/li>\n<li>Drain some of the goo off the canned fillings.<\/li>\n<li id=\"zlrecipe-instruction-3\" class=\"instruction\">Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of filling into center of each square.<\/li>\n<li>Pinch up the edges of the squares to make little squares or cups.\u00a0 (you know &#8211; like what danish look like.)<\/li>\n<li id=\"zlrecipe-instruction-4\" class=\"instruction\">Chill assembled danishes 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Bake until puffed and golden, about 20-25 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let cool enough not to burn your mouth.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you want to be fancy,\u00a0 make an icing.<\/p>\n<ol id=\"zlrecipe-instructions-list\" class=\"instructions\">\n<li class=\"instruction\">Whisk together powdered sugar with enough milk to make thick but pourable glaze.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Drizzle over cooled danishes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Let sit 15 minutes before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8220;Somewhere we bought the squeeze tubes of filling so we had to use them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When we go camping, we like to eat well &#8211; but we don&#8217;t want to work very hard or have a big mess to clean up.\u00a0 We LOVE puff pastry!\u00a0 This is another good thing to do with it.
