{"id":4332,"date":"2017-08-18T09:45:13","date_gmt":"2017-08-18T15:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=4332"},"modified":"2018-04-23T13:24:36","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T19:24:36","slug":"__trashed-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/__trashed-2.html","title":{"rendered":"French Onion Garlic Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>A yummy variation on garlic bread.\u00a0 We add garlic to everything &#8211; hence the name.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 loaf French bread<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 lb butter, softened<\/li>\n<li>1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix<\/li>\n<li>1 clove garlic, crushed (not in original recipe &#8211; but sooo good!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Slice bread (like for sandwiches).<\/li>\n<li>Mix butter and soup mix (and garlic) until well blended.<\/li>\n<li>Spread on one side of each slice of bread.<\/li>\n<li>Push loaf back together.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in aluminum foil.<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 350 \u00b0 for approx. 30 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Or:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Slice loaf horizontally.<\/li>\n<li>Spread both sides with onion soup butter.<\/li>\n<li>Put back together.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in foil.<\/li>\n<li>Smash 2 &#8211; 3 soda\/beer cans flat.<\/li>\n<li>Place on grill.<\/li>\n<li>Place foil wrapped bread on top of them.<\/li>\n<li>Heat 10 &#8211; 15 minutes depending on the fire.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>One loaf (we plan on about 2 inches per person)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:<\/strong>\u00a0Genius Kitchen<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0Recipe by LiisaN<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A yummy variation on garlic bread.\u00a0 We add garlic to everything &#8211; hence the name.
