{"id":5073,"date":"2018-01-11T09:16:25","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T16:16:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=5073"},"modified":"2018-01-11T09:16:25","modified_gmt":"2018-01-11T16:16:25","slug":"party-shrimp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/party-shrimp.html","title":{"rendered":"Party Shrimp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The marinade for this dish makes the shrimp so flavorful, you won&#8217;t even need a dipping sauce.<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\u00a0T olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1-1\/2 tsp brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1-1\/2 tsp lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1 garlic clove, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp paprika<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp Italian seasoning<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp dried basil<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 pound uncooked large shrimp, tails on, peeled and deveined<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first eight ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>Add shrimp; seal bag and turn to coat.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate 2 hours or so.<\/li>\n<li>Drain shrimp, discarding marinade.<\/li>\n<li>Place shrimp on an ungreased baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Broil 4 in. from heat 3-4 minutes on each side or until shrimp turn pink.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To avoid rubbery shrimp (the biggest pitfall with these little guys is overcooking), watch for signs they are done\u2014the flesh will turn pink and firm.
