It is brushed onto the dough\u00a0 prior to\u00a0 baking.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><em>There\u00a0may be times when\u00a0you cannot use eggs either you don&#8217;t have any,\u00a0 you have allergies, or because\u00a0you choose not to consume eggs.
