No one ever makes breakfast like this for just two people.\u00a0 Below are the quantities\u00a0for 40.\u00a0 Anything in between &#8211; figure it out.\u00a0 Make life easier &#8211; do it in a casserole and let it sit overnight.\u00a0 No frying necessary. See Stuffed French Toast Casserole on the Blog.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 slices bread, use french bread sliced 2 inches thick, Texas Toast, or cinnamon swirl bread sliced thick.<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 c milk<\/li>\n<li>1 pinch\u00a0salt<\/li>\n<li>6 Tab cream cheese (6 oz)\u00a0 (plain or with fruit &#8211; strawberry, blueberry, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>1 pinch\u00a0cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Toppings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cinnamon sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c strawberry, cut up<\/li>\n<li>jam<\/li>\n<li>syrup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut each slice of bread in half.<\/li>\n<li>Beat eggs with milk and pinch of salt.<\/li>\n<li>In separate bowl, mash cheese until smooth with cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla, adjusting to taste.<\/li>\n<li>Spread one-fourth of cheese filling evenly over four half slices of bread.<\/li>\n<li>Top with unspread slices of bread to form half-sandwiches.<\/li>\n<li>Dip and soak each sandwich in egg-milk mixture, turning so both sides of each sandwich absorb liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Let excess drip off.<\/li>\n<li>Heat butter in 10 inch skillet, and when hot but not brown, add sandwiches.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce heat and fry slowly for 5 to 7 minutes, or until first side is golden.<\/li>\n<li>Turn and brown second side over low heat.\u00a0 If sandwiches fry too quickly, filling will not be warm.<\/li>\n<li>Serve immediately, allowing 2 halves to each portion.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar and top with sour cream and strawberries.\u00a0 Or serve with various syrups or jam.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> 2<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Genius Kitchen<\/p>\n<p><b>Large Quantity:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 loves of bread (a loaf of Texas Toast has 15 slices including heels)<\/li>\n<li>18 eggs<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 gal milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 Tab cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>4 lb cream cheese<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1 lb butter (at least)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe is for two &#8211; don&#8217;t be silly!
