A good salad to take somewhere &#8211; add the dressing when serving.\u00a0 \u00a0Also a good winter salad when tomatoes and such are not at their best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3\/4 lb jicama, peeled and cut into 1 1\/4 by 1 1\/2 inch strips<\/li>\n<li>12 navel oranges, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces<\/li>\n<li>1 c sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>3 c rice vinegar<\/li>\n<li>cilantro<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a large bowl, combine jicama and oranges.<\/li>\n<li>Toss lightly to mix.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar.<\/li>\n<li>Add cilantro<\/li>\n<li>Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Serve at once.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:<\/strong>\u00a025<\/p>\n<p><b>Source:\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>One of the non-profit school\/church\/volunteer group cookbooks I have since given away.\u00a0 They are the best source for interesting recipes!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simple and different.
