{"id":6054,"date":"2018-06-05T07:08:33","date_gmt":"2018-06-05T13:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=6054"},"modified":"2021-06-13T18:34:24","modified_gmt":"2021-06-14T00:34:24","slug":"ice-cream-in-a-bag","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/ice-cream-in-a-bag.html","title":{"rendered":"Ice Cream in a Bag"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Spring this on the kids (or office gang) on that day in August when everyone is grumpy and no one wants to anything.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 c half and half<\/li>\n<li>2 Tab sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>Any of your favorite ice cream mix-ins<\/li>\n<li>1 pint-size Ziploc bag<\/li>\n<li>1 gallon-size Ziploc bag<\/li>\n<li>ice cubes<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c Kosher salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine the half and half, sugar and vanilla extract in the pint-size bag.<\/li>\n<li>Seal the bag tightly, so that none of the liquid will leak out.<\/li>\n<li>Fill the gallon-size Ziploc bag halfway with ice cubes.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle Kosher salt over the ice cubes.<\/li>\n<li>Insert the pint-size bag filled with ingredients into the bag of ice and salt.<\/li>\n<li>Seal the gallon-size Ziploc bag.<\/li>\n<li>If the bag begins to leak, don&#8217;t hesitate double bagging it to reduce the mess.<\/li>\n<li>Shake the bag for 5-10 minutes until the ice cream mixture begins to harden. Feel the small bag to determine the consistency of your ice cream.<\/li>\n<li>Once satisfied with the consistency, remove the small bag from the bag of ice.<\/li>\n<li>Open the small Ziploc bag and add any desired mix-ins that you want.<\/li>\n<li>Feel free to eat the ice cream right out of the bag or, if you prefer, scoop it into a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:<\/strong> 1<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>instructables.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spring this on the kids (or office gang) on that day in August when everyone is grumpy and no one wants to anything.
