{"id":6221,"date":"2019-02-20T15:34:23","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T22:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=6221"},"modified":"2019-02-20T15:34:23","modified_gmt":"2019-02-20T22:34:23","slug":"sweet-and-sticky-oven-barbecued-pork-back-ribs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/sweet-and-sticky-oven-barbecued-pork-back-ribs.html","title":{"rendered":"Sweet and Sticky Oven-Barbecued Pork Back Ribs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"LEFT\"><em>It is mid January and the snow is COLD!\u00a0 Cannot live another day without BBQ ribs?\u00a0 Sweet and Sticky to the rescue.<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b> <\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00bc c soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> \u00bc c orange marmalade<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> \u00bd c pineapple juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> \u00bc c honey<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> 3 cloves garlic, peeled, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> 2 Tab ginger, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> 1 Tab lemon juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> 2 tsp fresh rosemary leaves, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> \u00bc tsp pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> 4 \u2013 5 lbs pork back ribs, fat trimmed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Directions:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Mix soy, orange marmalade, pineapple juice, honey, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, rosemary and pepper in a 1 or 2 gal Ziploc bags.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Rinse ribs, pat dry. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Cut ribs into individual ribs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Place in Ziploc bags with the marinade.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Seal bags and turn to coat ribs with marinade. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Set in pan or bowl and refrigerate for at leas 2 hours or up to 1 day, turning occasionally.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Line a rimmed pan with foil (the drippings char).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Lift the ribs from the marinade (saving the marinade) and place in a single layer, bone side down on the foil. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Pour the marinade in a small pan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Bake ribs in a 350<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00b0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">oven, uncovered, and cook for 1 \u00bd hours, until the meat is well browned and pulls easily from the bones.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> Meanwhile, boil the marinade on low, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes (to kill meat bacteria).
