The flavor combination is seriously addicting and tastes just like you\u2019re eating a cake version of the real thing.\u00a0\u00a0If you\u2019re into cinnamon, honey and walnuts, you will undoubtedly love this cake \u2013 and how easy it is to make.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients &#8211; Cake:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15.25 oz box Butter Pecan cake mix<\/li>\n<li>2 1\/2 cups finely chopped walnuts<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>14 oz can sweetened condensed milk<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup honey<\/li>\n<li>Whipped Topping<\/li>\n<li>1 cup heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/8 cup honey<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>additional walnuts and honey for topping, if desired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven according to package directions.<\/li>\n<li>Bake cake according to package directions in a 9&#215;13 cake pan.<\/li>\n<li>While cake bakes, mix together walnuts, cinnamon and butter and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Once cake is done, removed from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Mix together sweetened condensed milk and honey.<\/li>\n<li>Poke holes all over the cake.<\/li>\n<li>Pour about three quarters of sweetened condensed milk mixture over cake.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Cover cake with walnut mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the rest of sweetened condensed milk mixture over walnut layer.<\/li>\n<li>Put cake in refrigerator and allow to cool completely and absorb the milk mixture, about an hour.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0To make the whipped topping, freeze a mixer bowl and whisk attachment for 10-15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove bowl from freezer and whip heavy cream until it begins to thicken.<\/li>\n<li>Add powdered sugar, honey, vanilla and cinnamon and whip until stiff peaks form.<\/li>\n<li>Spread whipped topping onto completely cooled cake.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate cake until ready to serve,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>24\u00a0 (unless they are teenagers.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> Love, Life and Sugar &#8211; Life&#8217;s Better With Cake<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Baklava Poke Cake is full of cinnamon, walnuts and honey!
