{"id":6752,"date":"2018-12-03T17:07:04","date_gmt":"2018-12-04T00:07:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=6752"},"modified":"2023-08-07T13:55:13","modified_gmt":"2023-08-07T19:55:13","slug":"bacon-cream-cheese-pinwheels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/bacon-cream-cheese-pinwheels.html","title":{"rendered":"Bacon Cream Cheese Pinwheels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>We actually make these with blue cheese\/cream cheese mixed &#8211; that is what was left from a party.\u00a0 Better than the original!\u00a0 I can see adding drained diced chilies.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t stress the quantities too much.\u00a0 The grandson, James, adds Parmesian cheese &#8211; good upgrade.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 oz cream cheese, softened<\/li>\n<li>2 Tab finely chopped onion (or dried onions)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp milk<\/li>\n<li>1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls<\/li>\n<li>5 bacon strips, cooked and finely chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, onion and milk until blended.<\/li>\n<li>On a lightly floured surface, unroll crescent dough into one long rectangle.<\/li>\n<li>Press perforations to seal.<\/li>\n<li>Spread with cream cheese mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with bacon.<\/li>\n<li>Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side<\/li>\n<li>Pinch seam to seal.<\/li>\n<li>If you have time, refrigerate them. They are easier to cut<\/li>\n<li>Using a serrated knife, cut roll crosswise into twenty-four (1\/2-inch) slices.
