{"id":6919,"date":"2019-01-25T06:59:27","date_gmt":"2019-01-25T13:59:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=6919"},"modified":"2019-01-25T06:59:27","modified_gmt":"2019-01-25T13:59:27","slug":"bread-sticks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/bread-sticks.html","title":{"rendered":"Bread Sticks\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>You know those bread sticks you buy that look so good but somehow are not?\u00a0 Make them yourself &#8211; easy pesy!\u00a0 Frozen bread dough for the win.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 sheet of bread dough (if you can find them.\u00a0 If not use frozen rolls.)<\/li>\n<li>sesame seeds, or poppy seeds, or dried onion, or mixed herbs, or grated Parmesan cheese, or, or, or (use your imagination!)<\/li>\n<li>garlic salt or sea salt (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Directions<\/b><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Thaw the dough &#8211; in the frig overnight is best.<\/li>\n<li>Place the dough on a buttered sheet pan.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into strips &#8211; maybe 1\/2 inch wide and 6 inches long<\/li>\n<li>Spread generously with butter.<\/li>\n<li>Cover with a towel.<\/li>\n<li>Let rise in a warm place until almost double and a finger dint remains. It may take a couple of hours. (Turn the\u00a0oven\u00a0to the lowest setting for just a few minutes, then turn it off. Place the\u00a0dough\u00a0in the center of the\u00a0oven.)<\/li>\n<li>Brush the top with more butter.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on seeds etc.<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes or until golden..<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> We just did it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>If you use frozen rolls, roll them into snakes.<\/p>\n<p>If you want &#8220;stuff&#8221; all around your bread sticks, put some on the pan first and after you cut the dough, separate the sticks and roll them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You know those bread sticks you buy that look so good but somehow are not?\u00a0 Make them yourself &#8211; easy pesy!\u00a0 Frozen bread dough for the win.
