{"id":7099,"date":"2019-01-30T07:42:44","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T14:42:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=7099"},"modified":"2019-01-30T07:42:44","modified_gmt":"2019-01-30T14:42:44","slug":"peach-sticky-buns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/peach-sticky-buns.html","title":{"rendered":"Peach Sticky Buns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>One of the many variations on Sticky Buns.\u00a0 Other jams will be just as good.\u00a0 To really jazz it up, mix a tablespoon of brandy in the jam.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 pounds frozen bread dough or 24 frozen dough dinner rolls, partially thawed for 1\/2 hour and each loaf cut into 12 even pieces<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 c brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/8 c cinnamon (2 Tab)<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 c butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>1 c chopped pecans<\/li>\n<li>2 c peach jam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Generously butter a 9&#215;13 baking\u00a0glass\u00a0or\u00a0metal\u00a0pan.<\/li>\n<li>Spread peach jam on the bottom of the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle nuts evenly in top of the jam.<\/li>\n<li>Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Melt butter in separate bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Dip each roll or dough piece in butter, then in sugar mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Place dipped dough in pan in even rows.<\/li>\n<li>Mix remaining butter and sugar mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Distribute evenly over the tops of the dough.<\/li>\n<li>Cover with plastic wrap that is coated with cooking spray.<\/li>\n<li>Let rise until doubled.<\/li>\n<li>Bake uncovered at 350\u00b0 for 40-50 minutes, until browned and done in center. (Cover loosely with sheet of foil in last 10-15 minutes, if browning too quickly.)\u00a0 DONENESS TIP: For extra insurance that the center sticky buns are cooked completely, insert an\u00a0instant-read thermometer\u00a0half way down a center bun. The internal temperature should be 190-200\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from oven<\/li>\n<li>Let cool in pan for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Invert onto serving platter.<\/li>\n<li>Serve warm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>MAKE AHEAD: (times may vary depending on the temperature of your house)<br \/>\n1. Assemble the night before, leave out to rise overnight (approx. 8 hours), and bake first thing in the morning.<br \/>\n2. Assemble 20-24 hours in advance, put in the fridge to partially rise. The next day, remove from fridge and allow to rise at room temperature for 2-3 hours before baking.<br \/>\n3. Assemble 44-48 hours in advance, put \u00a0in the fridge to rise. Remove from fridge and warm to room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.<br \/>\n4. FREEZER OPTION:\u00a0 Assemble pan, cover and freeze for up to a month in advance. Remove from freezer before you go to bed and let them rise overnight&#8211;ready to bake the next morning.<\/p>\n<p>FOR A SMALLER BATCH: Cut all of the ingredients in half to make 12 sticky buns instead of 24. Assemble 12 sticky buns in an 8&#215;8 baking dish, 9&#8243; deep dish pie plate, or 9&#8243; round cake pan (with 2&#8243; tall sides).
