not to mention tasty.\u00a0 Vary it with a variety of canned (drained) fruits &#8211; peaches, apricots, cherries, etc.<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\nStreusel Topping<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2\/3 c Original Bisquick\u2122 mix<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 c packed brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp ground nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c cold butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coffee Cake<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 c Original Bisquick\u2122 mix<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 c milk or water<\/li>\n<li>3 Tbl granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>2 medium cooking apples, peeled and thinly sliced (2 cups) (or 1 can of apples packed in water, or 1 can apple pie filling &#8211; drain off some of the goo)<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbl chopped nuts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Glaze<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 c powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 to 3 tsp milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat oven to 400\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Spray 9-inch square pan with cooking spray.<\/li>\n<li>In small bowl, mix 2\/3 cup Bisquick mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.<\/li>\n<li>Cut in butter, using pastry blender (or pulling 2 knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until crumbly; set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In medium bowl, stir together 2 cups Bisquick mix, 2\/3 cup milk, the granulated sugar and egg.<\/li>\n<li>Beat vigorously 30 seconds with spoon.<\/li>\n<li>Spread half of batter in pan.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange apple slices on batter.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with half of streusel topping.<\/li>\n<li>Spread with remaining batter; sprinkle with remaining topping.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with nuts.<\/li>\n<li>Bake about 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.<\/li>\n<li>Cool in pan on cooling rack 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>In small bowl, stir glaze ingredients until smooth enough to drizzle.<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle glaze over warm coffee cake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Servings:\u00a0<\/strong> 8<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Betty Crocker and an old Bisquick box<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good old Bisquick!\u00a0 Quick and easy &#8211;
