{"id":730,"date":"2014-09-22T14:32:48","date_gmt":"2014-09-22T20:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=730"},"modified":"2017-01-01T16:59:49","modified_gmt":"2017-01-01T23:59:49","slug":"bleu-chicken-dip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/bleu-chicken-dip.html","title":{"rendered":"Bleu Chicken Dip\/Salad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>&#8220;So, what&#8217;s for lunch?&#8221; \u00a0&#8220;I don&#8217;t know. \u00a0I&#8217;ll forage for food.&#8221; \u00a0So I find a can of chicken breast meat &#8211; age unknown (but the can is not bulging so it must be ok.) \u00a0Inside the label is a recipe for Chicken Salad boooring. \u00a0Oh, but the Bleu Chicken Dip looks interesting. \u00a0I left out the butter and used mayonnaise (yes, real) for half the sour cream and made a rather interesting chicken salad. \u00a0Should make a wonderful dip.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 c Tyson Premium Chunk Chicken Breast, drained (So, any cooked chicken would work, right?)<\/li>\n<li>(1\/4 c butter) did not use<\/li>\n<li>3 oz bleu cheese (I probably used more &#8211; blue cheese is good!)<\/li>\n<li>1 Tab instant minced onions (Again, probably more &#8211; we don&#8217;t measure for lunch.)<\/li>\n<li>1 c sour cream &#8211; used 1\/2c sour cream and 1\/2 c mayonnaise<\/li>\n<li>1 Tab Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n<li>I added a squeeze of lemon juice (Lucia said &#8220;It takes the curse of of canned stuff.&#8221;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>(Melt butter in skillet and add chicken, crumbled.) Did not bother to do this for the salad.<\/li>\n<li>(Heat on medium heat, stirring constantly until hot.)
