{"id":7530,"date":"2019-07-17T03:00:28","date_gmt":"2019-07-17T09:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=7530"},"modified":"2021-06-13T18:32:51","modified_gmt":"2021-06-14T00:32:51","slug":"sausage-rolls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/sausage-rolls.html","title":{"rendered":"Sausage Rolls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>\u00a0Use any sausage you like, either bulk or with the casing removed.\u00a0 You could even use Italian or Spicy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 lbs sausage<\/li>\n<li>1 medium onion, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 (17 1\/3 ounce) box puff pastry sheets<\/li>\n<li>1 egg, beaten<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Set oven to 400\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Mix the sausage with the onion; set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Separate the puff pastry sheets into three sections (along fold lines).<\/li>\n<li>Flour your hands, rolling pin, and workspace lightly to avoid sticking.<\/li>\n<li>One section at a time, roll the pastry thin, and set it lengthwise on floured workspace.<\/li>\n<li>Place the sausage\/onion mixture (about a half-inch wide and a half-inch tall) along the middle of the pastry sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Brush the top and bottom edges of the pastry sheet with egg.<\/li>\n<li>Bring them together at the top of the sausage and seal them.<\/li>\n<li>Brush the entire top of the roll with egg.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the roll into one-inch sections.<\/li>\n<li>Cut two small vent slits on top of each section.<\/li>\n<li>Place sections on ungreased baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Bake until the pastry is golden brown, typically 10 to 15 minutes).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>12, makes 36 rolls<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:<\/strong> Genius Kitchen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Use any sausage you like, either bulk or with the casing removed.\u00a0 You could even use Italian or Spicy.
