{"id":7651,"date":"2019-07-16T13:02:41","date_gmt":"2019-07-16T19:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=7651"},"modified":"2019-07-16T13:02:41","modified_gmt":"2019-07-16T19:02:41","slug":"strawberry-pancakes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/strawberry-pancakes.html","title":{"rendered":"Strawberry Pancakes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>This is just the baked pancake called German Pancake or Dutch Babies with a yummy strawberry topping.<\/i><br \/>\n<b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9 eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 c flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 c milk<\/li>\n<li>6 Tab butter, melted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Directions:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Using a French whisk or fork, beat eggs until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Sift flour, measure, and sift again with salt.<\/li>\n<li>Add flour and salt to eggs in four additions, beating slightly after each.<\/li>\n<li>Add milk in two additions.<\/li>\n<li>Lightly beat in melted butter.<\/li>\n<li>Generously butter bottom and sides of unheated 9 or 10 inch frying pan.<\/li>\n<li>Pour batter into frying pan and bake in a very hot oven (450\u00b0) for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce oven temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 10 minutes more.<\/li>\n<li>Slip onto heated plate; serve immediately.<\/li>\n<li>Serve .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b> Note:<\/b> VAK uses glass\/metal pie plates in place of frying pans.<\/p>\n<p><b>Serves:<\/b> 4<\/p>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> Sunset<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strawberry Sauce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Delicious over ice cream or a plain cake (or just about anything) with whipped cream.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 lbs ripe strawberries, hulled (or 20 oz frozen strawberries)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup granulated sugar (depending on sweetness of berries)<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1 pinch salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c orange liqueur<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in medium saucepan.<\/li>\n<li>Add strawberries.<\/li>\n<li>Cook over medium-low heat stirring gently until sugar dissolves and berries are soft, about 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and add orange liqueur,<\/li>\n<li>Cool.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves<\/strong>: 12 (3 cups)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0A variation on Kitchen Genius<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is just the baked pancake called German Pancake or Dutch Babies with a yummy strawberry topping.
