The National Park Service has all their map symbols \/ pictographs (and some background patterns) available for download<\/a> in PDF and Illustrator format. Very cool. I find these things work great, with a little imagination, as web page navigation aids and the like — quickly recognizable, and lending a certain frisson of nostalgic charm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
