While our vacations in California often lead us to refer to it as Faerie (since we lost track of time and eat lots of yummy food), far less pleasant are business trips thereto. Which might explain my lack of glee over spending all next week (Sunday night to Friday night) off in Pasadena.<\/p>\n
On the one hand, there are nice things about business trips. Often there is an opportunity for good food, and a chance to see places I don’t often see. I usually am meeting with people that I have an interest in meeting. It breaks the routine. <\/p>\n
Oh the other hand, I’m not looking forward to dealing with the next round of TSA madness (though, on the “bright” side, I’ll be there a week, so I’ll have<\/em> to check my bag and kit and all its Evil Terroristic Fluids — the down side to which is the thrice-bedamned luggage wait at LAX). And I really don’t need more food in my diet. And I’ll be away from Margie. And I’ll be expected to be sociable and go out to dinner with the troops and boss and all that stuff, when, by the end of the Bleah.
