<1930s radio announcer voice>It’s August 24th, 2001, and Dave’s wife is over at Doyce’s house for a bi-weekly RPG game. Doyce has been doing something called a “blog<\/a>” for a few months now, and Dave’s decided to get into the action. Who, then, can forget <\/em>these immortal words <\/em><\/a>…<\/em> <\/p>\n Testing \u2026 testing \u2026 testing \u2026.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Then, after posting <\/em>something<\/em><\/a> about how Blogger had blown up twice on him, he started writing about what he wasn’t going to write about, and how it was likely this was all <\/em>just a flash in the pan<\/em><\/a> …<\/em> <\/p>\n For one thing, I doubt I\u2019ll be able to maintain a steady stream of discussion. Sure, this has a big advantage over a hardcopy journal, to wit, I can get to it anywhere I can get to an Internet connection. Which makes it a lot more handy than my journal was. Still \u2026 my life is busy. And, frankly, when there are people around, I do better writing to them, or talking to them, directly. If I post stuff in my blog, then have to e-mail people saying, \u201cHey, check out my blog!\u201d \u2026 well, that seems a bit redundant. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n And the rest … 9,782 posts in this blog alone … is ongoing history.<\/em> <\/1930s radio announcer voice> <\/p>\n Wow. <\/p>\n Thanks to my several loyal readers.
