Paramount has announced the director (J.J. Abrams) and release date (Christmas 2008) for the next Star Trek<\/em> movie<\/a>. The movie is supposed to harken back to the early days of the Kirk era. The lead roles haven’t been formally cast, but …<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

IGN reported<\/a> yesterday that Paramount was eyeing Matt Damon, Adrien Brody and Gary Sinise for the key roles of Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. McCoy, respectively. With a director and start date now set, we’ll soon know for certain who will play the Big Three.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
