I mean, we’re talking Denver<\/em>. Yeah, we get snow on a semi-regular basis during the winter, esp. in the late winter, but it’s usually of the 2-4″ kind, just enough to send a SUVs (“Four Wheel Drive Doesn’t Mean Four Wheel Stop”) into the center median for everyone’s entertainment. And then the sun comes out, and the sun and heat and dry have the roadways cleared of moisture in no time.<\/p>\n

And, yeah, sure, once every 3-4 years we get a city-stopper that closes things down for a few days<\/em>. Then the sun comes out and, etc.<\/p>\n

So this Friday is our Twelfth Night party. And we’re faced with an issue we’ve not faced in a decade of these things, to wit, there’s heaps and berms of freaking snow all along the street, which is snow-packed, and thus there’s no place for anyone to park except our driveway, which will make for a pretty small party<\/em>. Plus, while the next few days are supposed to be “warm,” which may help — we have a cold snap moving back in Thursday, with snow anticipated on Friday and into the weekend.<\/p>\n

Yeesh.<\/p>\n

So we need to hope that the sun will melt the big berms on our street, and that this new snow won’t cause additional problems.<\/p>\n
