Rather than having to sort by subject and see all the things that were predecessors to a current message, GMail automatically bundles them into an easily referenced (or even forwarded) conversation.<\/p>\n<p>It occurred to me that it would be nice if Outlook could do the same thing.  And, after a fashion, it can.  In Outlook 2003 (at least), I can go into a folder and specify View \/ Arrange By \/ Conversation.  Messages will group together, and even group by sub-threads so that which was an answer to what is visible.  That&#8217;s really handy &#8212; though by default the view sorts threads with newest messages at the top but within each thread the conversations are threaded oldest to newest (that can be<br \/>\nmodified as a Custom View to show the newest within each thread at the top of the thread, too).<\/p>\n<p>Spiffy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So one of the keen things about GMail is the way it threads conversations together into convenient packages.
