{"id":10830,"date":"2007-06-21T06:05:04","date_gmt":"2007-06-21T13:05:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2007\/06\/21\/timing-is-everything-8.html"},"modified":"2007-06-21T06:05:04","modified_gmt":"2007-06-21T13:05:04","slug":"timing_is_everything_8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2007\/06\/21\/timing_is_everything_8.html","title":{"rendered":"Timing is everything"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I was getting up this morning, I heard the cat screwing around with something downstairs.&nbsp; Fearing the worse, I turned on the light, but couldn&#8217;t see, so I got my classes &#8230; and <em>did <\/em>see &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"img-shadow-right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Raccoon\" height=\"210\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/raccoon.jpg\" width=\"250\" \/> <\/div>\n<p>&#8230; a raccoon, calmly tearing into a box of chocolate-covered something-or-others I had out for a future game.<\/p>\n<p>Grabbed a &#8230; hmmmm, poster tube, I guess it was &#8230; and scared it off.&nbsp; It was a very primeval scene, let me tell you, but the hu-mans won.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2004\/01\/12\/theyre_baaaaaac.html\" target=\"_blank\">Been a while<\/a> since we had coon trouble, and I wish we weren&#8217;t leaving today &#8212; I&#8217;m less worried about burglars than about &#8230; other critters with masks now.
