Don Imus is a cretinous creep, and I do indeed hope that the various outlets and networks that carry him fire his “oh, I was just cracking a joke in unfortunately bad taste” sorry ass.  Along with his “producer” who prefaced his comment with one just as offensive.  It wasn’t a “gaffe,” it was simply a reprehensible, unacceptable slur, and I don’t care if it was a horrible mistake or a heart-felt sentiment, take freakin’ responsibility for what you say, okay?  Which means taking the social consequences for it.<\/li>\n
  2. Lord save us from politicians jumping on a popular bandwagon; media going into a feeding frenzy that would scare off any Great White; victims who let themselves be further victimized by the above; and sponsors who, after waiting far too long, aver that, yes, enough people seem torqued off by the regrettable comments that they’re going to drop their sponsorship of the cretinous creep.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
