So, an odd trip coming up next week. Margie’s going down to Orlando for an HR Metrics conference<\/a>, which she’s been teasingly calling her “boondoggle<\/a>,” as they are flying her down for the conference, etc., though compared to many medical conferences I’ve heard tales of, this one is prettydarned “legit” as far as some serious discussions going on.<\/p>\n

So the plan is that Margie’s flying down to Orlando at oh-dark-early on Sunday, and I get to play Mister Mom for most of the week, which I’m both looking forward to and somewhat dreading. Then at the same time on Thursday (the last day of the conference), Kitten and I are flying down to Orlando and hopping the Magic Express over to Walt Disney World. Unlike previous stays, rather than Port Orleans (which is having its dining hall refurbed), we’re going to be at the CoronadoSprings<\/a> resort, which sounds just like P.O., only with a southwest flavor<\/a> rather than a bayou flavor. There is supposedly Internet and WiFi access, certainly at the conference center and maybe (depending on the rather vague reports) to some extent in the rooms.<\/p>\n

We’ll have Friday-Sunday to do the Capering About Walt Disney World together, then fly home on Monday. Not the sort of trip I’d usually take, but it should be fun, and I think it’s kind of a spiffy opportunity for Margie (and a fun one for the other two of us to piggyback on). And, after all, it’s been almost a year since we were at WDW … \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Of course, there’s also a finite probability that, rather than flying home, that Monday I’ll fly off on a business trip to the Northeast. I’ll learn more about that later today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
