Michael Ryan<\/em> <br \/> Whedon&#8217;s run on the title has been solid but not extraordinary.&nbsp; Throwing them back in time is an interesting move, especially given that we encounter some 1907 metahuman street urchins (the Yellow Kid &#8212; I love it) and some other time travelers that are unlikely to be pleased by all this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Fair (3 stars of 5)\" height=\"19\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/stars3.jpg\" width=\"57\" \/><strong><em>Outsiders<\/em> #49 <\/strong>(DC) <em>w. Judd Winick; a. Matthew Clark, Ron Randall<\/em> <br \/> CheckMate double-crosses, torture, border violations, and more intrigue than you can shake a stick at &#8212; which ends with setting up a new Batman and the Outsiders.&nbsp; Interesting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Good (4 stars out of 5)\" height=\"18\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/stars4.jpg\" width=\"78\" \/><strong><em>Thunderbolts<\/em> #115<\/strong> (Marvel) <em>w. Warren Ellis; a. Mike Deodato, Jr<\/em> <br \/> This continues to be the &#8220;Dark Underbelly of the Registration Act&#8221; group, run by Norman &#8220;Green Goblin&#8221; Osborne and populated by both well-meaning heroes and some real scum.&nbsp; Good damned stuff.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Runaways #27 (Marvel) w.
