{"id":11664,"date":"2007-07-23T10:49:34","date_gmt":"2007-07-23T17:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2007\/07\/23\/other-weekendy-bits.html"},"modified":"2014-06-13T15:56:36","modified_gmt":"2014-06-13T21:56:36","slug":"other_weekendy_bits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2007\/07\/23\/other_weekendy_bits.html","title":{"rendered":"Other weekendy bits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Friday<\/strong>:&nbsp; Went to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2007\/07\/21\/music_hark_5.html\" target=\"_blank\">Loudon Wainwright III concert<\/a>.&nbsp; Everyone pretty much crashed after that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday<\/strong>:&nbsp; I ended up sleeping in very late (10:30a).&nbsp; Margie and Kitten took off and did some pre-camping shopping, so it worked out okay (I&#8217;m told &#8212; I still felt a bit guilty).<\/p>\n<p>Headed over to the Casa for the <em>Spirit of the Century <\/em>game &#8212; only to have it canceled at the last second by Doyce falling ill.&nbsp; That sort of unexpected freed up our Saturday afternoon, so we went by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2007\/07\/21\/first_library_card.html\" target=\"_blank\">the library<\/a>, then headed&nbsp;home and relaxed a bit &#8212; Kitten played up the street, we played some CoX.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday<\/strong>:&nbsp; Up earlyish to head off to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2007\/07\/23\/hello_muddah_hello_faddah.html\" target=\"_blank\">camp<\/a>, which was about an hour (with minimal traffic) from the house.&nbsp; On the way back down, since we were Kittenless, we decided to take in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2007\/07\/23\/movie_review_harry_potter.html\" target=\"_blank\">the new Harry Potter flick<\/a> &#8212; we skipped the mostly-full 15-minutes-from-now showing and settled for one in 45 minutes.&nbsp; Margie called Jackie and invited her along, and we all seemed to enjoy ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>Jackie headed off after that, and Margie I did some shopping at the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tattered_Cover\" target=\"_blank\">Tattered Cover<\/a>, then had an early supper at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oldblinkinglight.com\/_about.html\" target=\"_blank\">Old Blinking Light<\/a>, an upscale southwest bistro\/bar, with a very yummy lamb-chile stew, good Caesar salad, tasty buffalo burgers, and a quite tolerable margarita.&nbsp; Service wasn&#8217;t great, but what do you expect at 3:30 on a Sunday?<\/p>\n<p>And then we headed home and &#8230; well, actually spent the next several hours just sitting around and reading, nice and quiet and together.&nbsp; Which was pretty darned nice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Friday:&nbsp; Went to the Loudon Wainwright III concert.&nbsp; Everyone pretty much crashed after that.
