THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A HEAVY SNOW WARNING…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST SUNDAY. THE SNOW ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.<\/p>\n

SNOW WILL CONTINUE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH THIS EVENING THEN DECREASING LATER TONIGHT. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN THIS AREA BY SUNDAY MORNING. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL BE FROM BOULDER TO LONGMONT AND EXTENDING NORTHEAST THROUGH GREELEY. HEAVIER SNOW WILL ALSO DEVELOP ACROSS DOUGLAS COUNTY LATER THIS EVENING.<\/p>\n

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY.
