Yeah, that sucked (though it’s not a huge delta from 4:55a).

I had a sense that I had to be at the train station by 5:15a. Well, I was kind of right. There’s a 5:08a at Dry Creek that gets me to my office at … 5:46a. There’s a 5:23a that gets me there by 6:01a.

I’m aiming to be in by 6 (esp. so I can leave promptly at 4, for the 4:06p train that gets me to the station at 4:45p. So I could do the latter. I did everything with all deliberate speed this a.m., leaving the house by 4:57a, which got me to the platform around 5:06a, with just a minute or so to spare before the train came. I don’t know that I can count on everything going that smoothly each morning (it’s usually been taking me more like 35 minutes in the morning than 25), so I’ll needing more time before I feel confident I can change the alarm clock 5-10 minutes.

I could actually (given the time) aim for the 5:23, but let’s see how the 5:08 works for the nonce.

Note: AM Radio on the light rail — you know, the thing that runs under high voltage lines? — maybe not so much. So, a month before KCFR shifts over to FM, huzzah.

Fascinating, for the moment, to watch the highway and industrial backyards of Denver taking the trip up here, which went far faster than I’d expected, subjectively.

Did some news browsing off my mobile. That worked nicely. Now I need to (a) improve my own blog’s mobile interface, and (b) look into (again) a mobile blogging solution for MT.

Office is dead this time of morning.

Printers automagically showed up when I logged in. Annoyingly enough, all of them show up (a couple of dozen), which means I’ll have to sift through them each day as I usually shift my default to my home computer when I get home. I have a printer very convenient to me, but it’s a little LaserJet.

Found my tea, mug, and the break room.

Need to figure out color printing and scanning to email from the equipment here.

Phone has some nice features (including a headset button, which powers my headset just fine), but doesn’t seem to have a speed dial function (with this model) nor a button to roll calls over to voice mail. Pity.

Time for more tea, and back to work.

Reset the alarm clock for 4:30a.
