What took a while was tracking down <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestudiotour.com\/ush\/backlot\/fire_2008.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">what had been destroyed<\/a>&nbsp;in the way of exterior sets:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li> &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestudiotour.com\/ush\/backlot\/courthousesquare.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">Courthouse Square<\/a>&#8221; &#8212; most famous for being the city square featured in the <em>Back to the Future <\/em>movies. The actual courthouse and clocktower were evidently damaged but not destroyed.<\/li>\n<li> A whole bunch of stock New England and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestudiotour.com\/ush\/backlot\/newyorkstreet.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">New York streets<\/a>&nbsp;which have been used in movies and TV shows since time out of mind (including a corner I was just pointing out to Margie the other day in a TV show).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Universal says it will rebuild.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Old news, of course, that there was a big fire at Universal Studios over the weekend.
