{"id":12445,"date":"2008-05-01T09:06:22","date_gmt":"2008-05-01T16:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2008\/05\/01\/water-water-everywhere-4.html"},"modified":"2014-11-16T14:55:22","modified_gmt":"2014-11-16T21:55:22","slug":"water_water_everywhere_4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2008\/05\/01\/water_water_everywhere_4.html","title":{"rendered":"Water, water, everywhere?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"img-shadow-right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/desert.jpg\" width=\"150\" \/> <\/div>\n<p>So we&#8217;re in the middle of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/news\/ci_9117826\" target=\"_blank\">last-gasp winter storm<\/a> (though Denver&#8217;s actually gotten snow all the way into June in the past), and we&#8217;ve had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/news\/ci_9090019?source=pop_section_news\" target=\"_blank\">so much mountain snowpack<\/a>&nbsp;this winter&nbsp;that lots of folks are worried about flooding.<\/p>\n<p>And &#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/search\/ci_%3Ca%20class='srNewsTitleLink'%20href='http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/ci_9107062\" target=\"_blank\">water restrictions just kicked in for the City of Denver<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<blockquote>\n<li> No lawn watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.<\/li>\n<li> No overwatering that results in puddles in gutters, streets or alleys.<\/li>\n<li> No spraying concrete or asphalt.<\/li>\n<li> Leaky sprinklers must be repaired within 10 days.<\/li>\n<li> No using spray irrigation during rain or high winds.<\/li>\n<li> Watering is limited to three days a week, although there are no assigned days<\/li>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Actually, this will affect us, too, since our water district gets its water from Denver.<\/p>\n<p>Not that it actually bothers me &#8212; whether we need it or not, those water restrictions are reasonable in the face of ever-tightening water supplies in the future.
