{"id":1251,"date":"2002-02-06T13:58:33","date_gmt":"2002-02-06T18:58:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/?p=1251"},"modified":"2002-02-06T13:58:33","modified_gmt":"2002-02-06T18:58:33","slug":"in_a_nutshell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2002\/02\/06\/in_a_nutshell.html","title":{"rendered":"In a Nutshell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torrez.org\/projects\/nutshell\/\">Nutshell <\/a>rocks.<\/p>\n<p>Nutshell is a little IE (5.5 and above, and Windows only, I suspect) add-on that gives you a search line and a Go button on your toolbar.  <\/p>\n<p>Type in search terms, hit Enter, and it forwards it to Google (not unlike the Google toolbar or Javascript button you can download from them).<\/p>\n<p>Type in search terms, click on the Go button, and now you can choose to send the search to Google, Amazon*, The Internet Movie Database (IMDB), Dictionary.com, or Daypop (a news\/blog search engine).  All of which are places I frequently search at, anyway.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been using it the past few days, and it&#8217;s a definite productivity enhancer.  And it&#8217;s <i>free<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Download it.  Use it.  Thank me (or, more properly, the programmer) later.<\/p>\n<p><small>*Andre Torres, the programmer, notes that using Nutshell to go to Amazon will include his Amazon Associate number as a reference.
