So … what’s left?<\/p>\n

Mostly little details. They got the drip systems laid down in all of the new beds (actually, beyond where we were expecting it), and are about half-done putting down a weed barrier, atop which will be mulch and a few rocky swales (see mulch, rocks, “gray stuff” in the picture).<\/p>\n

The drip system is all on one zone (the former upper zone, #8). The sidewalk zone (#9) now circles the remaining grass — which looks more like a broad, grassy path, which is just what we want (pictures to come). That lower zone, unfortunately, also has a few leaky pipe problems, and we’ll probably be replacing a couple of the sprinkler heads on it, too.<\/p>\n

There are two trees planted, to, Bali Cherries. One’s in front to the left of the steps; the other is behind it, at the path that leads from the driveway to the front door. They look much nicer in person than in the picture. They’re smaller than expected (season), but appear hale and hearty, which is fine. The larger shade tree, most likely a Canyon Maple (which will be up the hill in front of the patio, probably just right of the bay window) won’t be planted until the spring.<\/p>\n

After the weed barrier is down on the slope to the right, they’ll be putting in (the plan is) some stepstones down that side.<\/p>\n
