{"id":128618,"date":"2015-11-06T06:39:13","date_gmt":"2015-11-06T13:39:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2015\/11\/06\/on-the-raking-of-leaves.html"},"modified":"2015-11-08T09:16:38","modified_gmt":"2015-11-08T16:16:38","slug":"on-the-raking-of-leaves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2015\/11\/06\/on-the-raking-of-leaves.html","title":{"rendered":"On the raking of leaves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#39;ve been known to treat leaf fall as natural mulch; the stuff that makes it into the flower beds gets to stay, but the stuff on the grass (a dwindling area in our yard, by design) or the rock areas or the driveway gets raked up.<\/p>\n<p>The front yard will have a lot fewer leaves this year, due to the sketchy health of Old Tree Trunk (the giant cottonwood between our and our neighbor&#39;s driveway). <\/p>\n<p>I&#39;ve been doing a lot of mulching of the barren areas of the yard, post-kitchen-construction (48 cu. ft. and counting).
