'We are clearly called, in the Bible, to adhere to our civil authorities, but that conflicts with also a requirement to adhere to God’s rules. When those two come in conflict, <\/i>God’s rules always win.<\/i><\/b> In essence, if we are ever ordered by a government authority to personally violate and sin, violate God’s law and sin, if we’re ordered to stop preaching the gospel, if we’re ordered to perform a same-sex marriage as someone presiding over it, <\/i>we are called to ignore that.<\/i><\/b> We cannot abide by that because <\/i>government is compelling us to sin.<\/i><\/b> '<\/i><\/p>\n

That's the man running to be the the chief executive of the government, swearing to uphold the Constitution and faithfully execute the laws that the representative government passes under that Constitution.<\/p>\n

Unless, of course, he thinks they are not what God thinks is right. In which case he feels free to resist and ignore them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
