So it begins …<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. I picked up pizza on the way home. Gotta have pizza with D&D.<\/li>\n
  2. Katherine had worked out a lovely, detailed backstory for her character.<\/li>\n
  3. I had found the first few episodes of a 1-30 campaign in Dungeon<\/em>, “Scales of War,” that looked like a good starting point.<\/li>\n
  4. Got the battle map out, the dice out, the figs out, the character sheets out, got out some Power Cards I’d done up … and we were ready to go!<\/li>\n
  5. And so we went. About an hour and a half, managed some intro dialog and interaction, then — Bar brawl! Goblins! Fire! Fighting! Woot!<\/li>\n
  6. Did a cliff-hanger of the next encounter. Huzzah!<\/li>\n
  7. Learned about some of the strengths of our little trio — and some distinct weaknesses (yes, a band of minions can, in fact, drag you down.   And lacking any sort of area attack — except for the Rogue, of all people — will be something we need to watch after.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Things I forgot:<\/p>\n
