Well, first the good news. The newest version of GCalSync<\/a> is working without crashing my Outlook. It takes forever and a day for a sync cycle to complete, but it works.<\/p>\n

So now I have a separate “Pointy-Haired Dave” calendar next to my other GCals that I can toggle on and off to see some work activity conflicts when looking at my home calendars.<\/p>\n

Except … it’s still not picking up (this is a known and long-term problem) some (a few) meetings where I am an invitee don’t sync. Things I create are fine; things I don’t … sometimes aren’t. This (and the support) have gotten better since earlier versions<\/a>, but it’s still a bit annoying.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the whole thing is pretty keen, so if it’s working at 95%, I’m not going to complain too <\/em>bitterly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
