{"id":130862,"date":"2016-06-12T15:08:29","date_gmt":"2016-06-12T21:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2016\/06\/12\/tea-ceremony.html"},"modified":"2016-06-12T15:08:29","modified_gmt":"2016-06-12T21:08:29","slug":"tea-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2016\/06\/12\/tea-ceremony.html","title":{"rendered":"Tea Ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the Denver Botanic Gardens, they have a tea house where, on a limited number of occasions each summer, they go through a Japanese Tea Ceremony as an educational program &#8212; first as a demonstration (the <i>Usu-cha,<\/i> or Thin Tea), then a more abbreviated form that some of the small group present for the occasion  can participate in.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"proflinkWrapper\"><span class=\"proflinkPrefix\">+<\/span><a class=\"proflink\" href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/103453067516847485667\" oid=\"103453067516847485667\">Kay Hill<\/a><\/span> and I volunteered for the latter activity (second and third from the front in the picture below), which was very cool and a lot of fun, except that my legs feel completely asleep below the knees, and I had to break pose a bit as we were ending so that I would be able to actually stand up.<\/p>\n<p>Neat thing.
