Of all the members of the Council of Economic Advisers who are still alive — economists dating back to Richard Nixon — not a single one endorses Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Those economists who served under Democratic presidents are all either supporting Clinton, or declined to answer. Those economists who served under Republican presidents are all either declining to say … or are opposed<\/i> to Trump.<\/p>\n

'“I have known personally every Republican president since Richard Nixon,” said Harvard University economist Martin Feldstein, who chaired the council under President Ronald Reagan. “They all showed a real understanding of economics and international affairs….Donald Trump does not have that understanding and does not seem to be concerned about it. That alone disqualifies him in my judgment.”'<\/i><\/p>\n

But, hey, there are probably quite a number of Trump supporters who think that not having presidential economic advisers endorsing him is a good<\/i> thing and proof that he's not beholden to any so-called "experts" or people who work for "universities" or folk who've worked for establishment tools like Bush and Reagan.<\/p>\n

Weird times, people.<\/p>\n
