Yeah, this happens every year, as I contemplate November — "How can I possibly do this? Life is so full \/ busy \/ stressful. I can't possibly do the 1,667 words per day that National Novel Writing Month Requires!"<\/i><\/p>\n

And the fact that I believe that right now, this year, more than any time in the past several years is, even to myself, somewhat dubious, given that I feel that every<\/i> year.<\/p>\n

(But it's true. I swear!)<\/p>\n

I had some plans of extending a story I did on my first NaNo, back in 2001 — which 50K I am currently running through a writing group. I even have an idea of where that might carry on (though I don't know where it would actually lead to).<\/p>\n

It occurred to me today that I might go back to my probably most complete NaNo novel (two years of effort, full novel, about half of it run through a writing group) and implement the changes that have been suggested. I've established pretty firmly that creative writing efforts for NaNo work out to about 1.5 hours per day for me, so I've done NaNoEdMo (editing) efforts in November before converting time for wordcount. That might be doable (and be productive). <\/p>\n

So … maybe NaNo this year … maybe … though given that my daughter is planning on doing it, I feel a moral imperative to do it as well to support her<\/i> effort (yes, self-imposed guilt is effective for me). So … we'll see.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
