Yeah, yeah, tons of hyperbole. I understand.<\/p>\n

But think of Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Think of the guy with no foreign policy experience. Think of the guy who doesn't understand the nuclear triad. Think of the guy that gets into 3 a.m. Twitter screeds at his opponents. Think of the guy who's easily led into saying and doing zany things by folk who know how to manipulate him. Think of the guy who considers alliances unprofitable exploitation of the US. Think of the guy who mistrusts intelligence briefings that don't align with his expectations. Think of the guy who can't let an insult pass without doubling down.<\/p>\n

Now imagine a nuclear confrontation with North Korea, home to its own zany egotists. Maybe it's a nuclear threat against the South. Or against Japan. Or against the United States mainland. Or maybe it's a nuclear device (possibly of North Korean origin) that's been smuggled into one of our ports.<\/p>\n

What does President Trump do? How does his knowledge, and experience, and cool, rational temperament get us out of this crisis?<\/p>\n

How does Trump help the world avoid the deaths of hundreds of thousands, or more?<\/p>\n

Not that this would be easy for any President. But the idea of Trump sitting in the Oval Office trying to deal with such a crisis scares the bejeebers out of me.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
